Activities Schedule

Western Village RV Park presents a complete schedule of events and planned activities throughout the camping season. In addition, a wide range of outstanding events are held outside of the campground but in the immediate area. Use the following calendar as a guide when making your plans and choosing the time of your stays. In addition to these scheduled events, thanks to our long list of recreational amenities, a wide range of spontaneous activities is likely to be taking place at any given time.

April 1-3 Spring Fever: PA Trout Season opens (April 2) with excellent fishing in nearby creeks and streams. 20% off campers staying both Friday & Saturday. Get out in the fresh air, open up, de-winterize, and set up for the season. Free coffee and donuts on Saturday morning.
April 15-17 Tax Relief Discount Weekend: Taxes are done and it’s time to relax with some discount camping. Stay Friday and receive Saturday night ½ price, PLUS receive a coupon for a ½ price night of camping toward a future 2 night stay.
April 20-24 Spring Carlisle Car Swap Meet Car Corral & Auction at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, only 3.5 miles from Western Village. (2-night minimum.)


May 6-8 Mother’s Day Weekend: Treat Mom to a weekend of camping and our annual pancake/sausage breakfast on Saturday morning ($). Free for Mom along with mini-golf, and a craft for kids. 61st Annual Apple Blossom Festival: Live entertainment, arts & craft demonstrations, free orchard bus tours, and much more! (May 7-8, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
May 20-22 Seasonal/Monthly Picnic Lunch held on Saturday. Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals at the Fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
May 27-30 Memorial Day Weekend: The pool opens for the season! Corn hole, softball, volleyball, and horseshoes, games for the kids, and 2 nights of bingo. Sunday AM worship with Devoted Praize and Country Express returns Sunday evening. 20% camping discount for retired and active military and police with proper ID at check-in. (3-night minimum, holiday visitor’s fee.)


June 3-5 Wings N’ Things Potluck: Wings & things, we provide the wings along with your things (side dishes, and desserts). Ford Nationals at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.(2-night minimum.)
June 10-12 Camper Appreciation Weekend: Our campers are the greatest and to show our appreciation we are offering ½ price RV & tent sites and 20% off cabin rentals this weekend. Half price mini-golf and pedal kart rentals. And to top it off we are hosting an ice cream social! Just our little way of saying thank you for your continued support. We appreciate you all!
June 17-19 Father’s Day Weekend: Dads play mini-golf free, and eat free at our annual pancake/sausage breakfast honoring them on Saturday morning, ($) for others. Kids’ craft for Dad. 88th Annual Jubilee Day (Thursday, June 16) is the largest one-day street fair on the Eastern U.S. Live music, plenty of food, and arts & craft vendors in nearby Mechanicsburg. Carlisle GM Nationals held at the Fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
June 24-26 Glow Stick Fun / Gas Saver Weekend: Glow-in-the-dark kickball, and bowling! We’re making glow-in-the dark slime and t-shirts. If camping with us next weekend, leave your camper on site (based on availability) for free (if disconnected from electric, $4/day if using electric).


July 1-4 Independence Celebration: Corn hole, volleyball, softball, horseshoes, bingo Friday & Saturday nights, and kids’ games. Tom Patterson’s Vintage Rock returns! (3-night minimum, holiday visitor’s fee.) Fireworks at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.
July 8-10 It’s all about the Chocolate: Candy bar bingo, and other chocolate themed games and activities. Karaoke Saturday night. Paint Your Own Pottery Class.
July 15-17 NASCAR Fun Weekend: NASCAR themed games and activities. Canvas Paint Night on Saturday at 7:30 PM. Carlisle Chrysler Nationals at the Fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
July 22-24 Christmas in July / Annual Toy Drive: A fun weekend for young and old alike! Decorate your site in your holiday best! Prizes awarded. Christmas turkey/ham dinner with your trimmings, an ugly sweater/shirt contest, hayride with Santa, Meadowbrooke Gourds craft ($), and Party Animalz Farms Pony Rides & Petting Zoo will here for all to enjoy! Please bring an unwrapped toy for our annual Toys for Tots toy drive for the U.S Marine Corps. (Holiday visitor’s fee.)
July 29-31 Lazy Days of Summer: No planned activities … relax by your campfire with a good book.


August 5-7 Hillbilly Fun: Decorate your site in your redneck finest. Redneck themed games/activities. Bob’s Critter’s will be here after bingo! Truck Nationals at the Fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
August 12-14 Western Weekend / Camp for a Cure Weekend: Flashlight treasure hunt Friday night. Western themed games, dunking tank, Western Round-Up inflatable with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, on Saturday. Country line and partner dancing with City Slickers & Country Kickers on Saturday night!
August 19-21 Water Wars: Prepare for battle and bring your squirt guns and water bombs! Pool volleyball, wet sponge tag and more! Men & Machine return on Saturday evening.
August 26-28 Blast from the Past Weekend: Bubble gum blowing contest and other old time games/activities, tie-dye a t-shirt, and Tom Patterson’s Vintage Rock returns for your dance/listening fun! Corvettes at Carlisle (25th-28th) at the Fairgrounds. Nearby, the 36th Annual Shippensburg Corn Festival (27th). (2-night minimum.)


September 2-5 Labor Day: Two nights of bingo, corn hole, volleyball, softball, and horseshoe tournaments, and kids’ games. SwiftKick Band performs live on Sunday night! Last Sunday worship of the season with Randy Simpson’s music ministry. (3-night minimum; holiday visitor’s fee.)
September 9-11 Patriots Weekend - Military & First Responders Discount / Grandparents Day Weekend: If you’re a firefighter, policeman, EMT or a member of the Armed Forces, you stay 2 nights for the price of one, with ID, PLUS receive a coupon for one free night of camping toward a future 2 night stay. Grandparents camping with the grandkids receive 20% off your weekend stay.
September 14-18 48th Annual PA RV Camping Show: Held in nearby Hershey, this is America’s Largest RV Show! Approximately 30 minutes from park.
September 23-25 Autumn Celebration: Cider pressing, apple butter boiling, corn shelling, pie baking contest, bobbing for apples, and a fall harvest potluck dinner Saturday night.


September 28 - October 2 Fall Carlisle at the fairgrounds. The 52nd Annual National Apple Harvest Festival, held at nearby South Mt. Fairgrounds. Food, entertainment, arts & craft vendors, demonstrations and more. (October 1-2) (2-night minimum.)
October 7-9 Tailgate Party: Wear your favorite team’s jersey, decorate your site, and join in some football themed activities. Tailgate potluck dinner on Saturday evening. Second weekend of the The 52nd Annual National Apple Harvest Festival nearby. (October 8-9)
October 14-16 Spooktacular Fun Weekend / Annual Food Drive: Site decorating, pumpkin carving, costume judging, scavenger hunt, treat gathering and more! We are requesting donations of non-perishable food items, with items being donated to the local “Project Share”. (2-night minimum; holiday visitor’s fee.)
