Western Village RV Park presents a complete schedule of events and planned activities throughout the camping season. In addition, a wide range of outstanding events are held outside of the campground but in the immediate area. Use the following calendar as a guide when making your plans and choosing the time of your stays. In addition to these scheduled events, thanks to our long list of recreational amenities, a wide range of spontaneous activities is likely to be taking place at any given time.

April
April 2 - 4 Welcome Back Campers! Join us for donuts and coffee. Regional Opening Day of Trout Season. Excellent fishing in nearby creeks and streams. 15% off for all campers staying both Friday and Saturday nights.
April 9 - 11 Spring Fever … Join us at Western Village, build a campfire, and enjoy a quiet spring weekend in the park.
April 16 - 18 Spring Clean-Up: After helping to clean your site or park, we’ll treat everyone to hot dogs, chips, and dessert.
** April 21 - 25 Spring Carlisle Collector Swap Meet & Corral at the 102-acre Carlisle Fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.) – www.carlisleevents.com
April 30 - May 2 Camp with us and visit the 55th Annual Apple Blossom Festival, held at South Mountain Fairgrounds. Quality crafters, live bands, loads of entertainment for the kids, petting zoo, tractor pulls, pony rides, and more! For more information, call the Fruit Growers Association: (717) 677-7444.
 
May
** May 7 - 9 Mother’s Day Weekend: We honor Mom this weekend for our annual pancake and sausage breakfast, free for Mom (small fee for others), and there’s free mini-golf for Mom, too! Children’s craft. Mother’s Day gift giveaway. Carlisle Performance & Style at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
** May 21 - 23 Carlisle Import-Kit/Replicar Nationals at the fairgrounds. Seasonal/Monthly luncheon (please sign-up in the office 1 week prior). (2-night minimum.)
** May 28 - 31 Memorial Day Weekend: Pool opens! two nights of bingo, softball, volleyball, and horseshoe tournaments, kids’ games with prizes awarded. “Country Express” returns for your enjoyment. Retired and active police and military (with proper ID presented at check-in) receive 10% discount. (3-night minimum; holiday visitor fee.)
 
June
** June 4 - 6 Wings & Things: We provide the wings, you provide the things. Bring fries, onion rings, etc. to deep-fry, a covered dish, dessert, sauces, or dips. Carlisle All-Ford Nationals at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
June 11 - 13 Cook Italian: Bring your favorite Italian dish for a pasta potluck. We’ll provide the bread, rolls, and butter.
June 18 - 20 Father’s Day Weekend: Dads eat free at our annual pancake and sausage breakfast (small fee for others). Free mini-golf for Dad, too! Children’s craft. Father’s Day gift giveaway.
** June 25 - 27 Make-A-Wish: Camp with us and help to make a wish come true for a local child as we Adopt-A-Wish. Many fun activities, such as a bake sale, silent auction, bingo, yard sale, carnival games, food, and more! Carlisle All-GM Nationals at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
 
July
** July 2 - 5 4th of July Celebration: Softball, volleyball, and horseshoe tournaments, kids’ games with prizes awarded. Two nights of bingo, hayrides. Decorate your site in red, white, and blue. Patriotic bike parade – decorate your bicycles and join in. Tom Patterson is here. Fireworks at the fairgrounds. (3-night minimum; holiday visitor fee.)
** July 9 - 11 Bingo Mania: Longaberger basket bingo, candy bar bingo, and regular bingo. Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
July 16 - 18 Santa Fest: Hayride, treats, photos, and cookies with Santa. Site-decorating contest, Christmas dinner – roast turkey with your trimmings. PJ & Friends, a professional comedy, magic, and ventriloquist show, and face-painting. Children’s craft. Bring a dozen of your favorite cookies and recipe to share. Also, bring an unwrapped toy for “Toys for Tots” to be entered in our Christmas giveaway.
** July 23 - 25 Birthday Party Celebration! Join us in celebrating everyone’s Birthday with cake, ice cream, chips, and karaoke Friday night, party games for all and a piñata for the kids. Carlisle Bike Fest at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
July 30 - August 1 Kick back & Relax: Spend the weekend relaxing by the pool or at your site reading a book, etc. Then bring your popcorn and drinks and enjoy the outdoor movie.
 
August
** August 6 - 8 Chocolate Lovers’ … Candy bar bingo, after dark flashlight chocolate hunt, chocolate ice cream social (small fee), chocolate pudding eating contest, chocolate food craft for the kids, and a chocolate fountain. Bring fruit and pretzels to dip. Carlisle All-Truck Nationals at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
August 13 - 15 Hawaiian Luau Blast: Party games with Randy. Pineapple bowling, hula hoop and limbo contest, to name a few. We’ll have baked ham and pork BBQ ($) and a covered dish/dessert dinner. Best-dressed contest.
August 20 - 22 Western Weekend: Our annual Chicken BBQ ($), along with your potluck dish/dessert for a western lunch. Hayrides, horseshoes, after dark flashlight treasure hunt, and western games. (Limited number of chicken – sign-up in the office.) City Slickers/Country Kicker’s – country DJ’s and line dance instructors are here!
** August 27 - 29 South-of-the-Border Fiesta: Party games, chili pepper challenge, and piñata. Prepare and share your favorite Mexican dish. Sombreros and Mexican attire welcome. Corvettes at Carlisle at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
 
September
** September 3 - 6 Labor Day Celebration: Two nights of bingo, hayrides, kids’ games, volleyball, horseshoe, and softball tournaments with prizes and trophies awarded. Marie, a Reba Impersonator, will be here for our entertainment. The last church service this season features music with Randy Simpson. (3-night minimum; holiday visitor fee.)
September 10 - 12 Camper Appreciation: Camp with us twice during the 2010 year (two different 2-night stays) and stay two nights for the price of one. Registration receipts required; excludes cabins. Bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the local “Project Share” food pantry and be entered in our food drive giveaway. Store discounts.
September 17 - 19 Football Tailgate Party: Decorate your site in support of your favorite team. Football skills contest, flag football, football trivia, and a potluck tailgate party. 42nd Annual PA RV Camping Show … Visit America’s largest RV and Camping Show. Only 36 miles from the park – prvca.org
September 24 - 26 Fall Harvest Weekend: We’re making apple cider; if you have apples to donate, please bring. Chicken Corn Soup – we’ll provide the chicken, you bring the corn. Prepare and share a harvested fruit or vegetable to share in our harvest.
** September 29 - October 3 Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral at the fairgrounds. 46th Annual Apple Harvest Festival, held at South Mt. Fairgrounds, with hundreds of arts and craft dealers, demonstrations, contests, food stands, and entertainment. (40 minutes from Western Village.) (2-night minimum.) – www.appleharvest.com
 
October
October 8 - 11 Columbus Day Weekend: Receive 10% off two nights of camping, plus leave your RV on site if you’re camping with us next weekend. (Electric is extra.) Excludes certain sites, based on availability. Hershey Antique Car Show – October 6 - 9.
** October 15 - 17 Halloween Weekend: Join us for our scary and fun-filled weekend! Site decorating contest, costume parade and judging, trick-or-treat, Halloween games, pumpkin carving, and a family scavenger hunt. Cookies, cupcakes, and cider. Hayride to our Haunted House. (2-night minimum; holiday visitor fee.)
