Western Village RV Park presents a complete schedule of events and planned activities throughout the camping season. In addition, a wide range of outstanding events are held outside of the campground but in the immediate area. Use the following calendar as a guide when making your plans and choosing the time of your stays. In addition to these scheduled events, thanks to our long list of recreational amenities, a wide range of spontaneous activities is likely to be taking place at any given time.

March
March 29-31 Regional opening day of trout season, (March 30) with excellent fishing in nearby creeks and streams. Receive 20% off campers staying both Friday and Saturday nights.
 
April
April 5-7 Welcome Back Seasonal Campers: The camping season officially begins for you! Coffee and donuts Saturday morning.
April 12-14 Tax Day Weekend: Celebrate tax day with discount camping, a potluck supper and s’mores! Stay Fri. night and get Sat. night ½ price PLUS receive a coupon for one night of free camping toward a future 2 night stay.
April 19-21 Spring Cleaning Yard Sale Weekend: Clean out the garage, your house & RV. This event will be advertised locally & open to the public. Sat. 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.
** April 24-28 Spring Carlisle Car Swap Meet Car Corral & Auction at the 102-acre Carlisle Fairgrounds. Only 3.5 miles from Western Village.(2-night minimum.)
 
May
May 3-5 Cinco de Mayo Celebration: Taco dinner, we’ll supply the tacos along with your favorite Mexican dish/dessert, piñata for the kids. 58th Annual Apple Blossom Festival: Live entertainment, arts & craft demonstrations, free orchard bus tours, and much more!(May 4-5, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
** May 10-12 Mother’s Day Weekend: Annual pancake/sausage breakfast to honor all Moms on Saturday morning. ($) Free breakfast and mini-golf for Mom, and a craft for the kids. ($) Carlisle Performance & Style at the fairgrounds. (May 11-12) (2-night minimum.)
** May 17-19 Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals: At the fairgrounds, 3.5 miles from the park. (2-night minimum.)
** May 24-27 Memorial Day Weekend: Kick off the summer here! The pool opens, softball, volleyball, and horseshoe tournaments, bingo, hayrides, and a kickball game for the kids. “Devoted Praize” and “Country Express” perform. 20% discount for retired and active police and military with proper ID presented at check-in. (3-night minimum, holiday visitors’ fee.)
May 31 - June 2 National Camping Month Special: Stay Friday night and receive Saturday night at ½ price, PLUS receive a coupon for one free night of camping toward a future 2 night stay. Seasonal/Monthly Luncheon held on Saturday.
 
June
** June 7-9 Ice Cream Fun: We’re celebrating National Ice Cream Month early! Discounted ice cream in the store, ice cream themed kids’ games and craft, and an ice cream cake give-away. Carlisle Ford Nationals held at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum.)
June 14-16 Father’s Day Weekend: Dads eat free at our annual pancake/sausage breakfast honoring them, ($) for all others, along with free mini-golf and a kids’ craft.
** June 20-23 Wings & Things: We provide the wings, you provide the things. Bring fries, onion rings, tater tots, etc. to deep fry or a covered dish/dessert. 85th Annual Jubilee Day is the largest one-day street fair on the Eastern U.S. Live music, plenty of food, and arts & craft vendors in nearby Mechanicsburg. (June 20) Carlisle GM Nationals held at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum)
June 28-30 Western Village’s 45th Anniversary Celebration / Open House: Stay Friday night, receive Saturday 1/2 price. Also, if camping with us next weekend leave your camper on site for free ($3/day if using electric) – based on availability, excludes 50 amp sites. Store discounts, door prizes, hot dogs and refreshments. DJ Randy is here both Friday and Saturday nights!
 
July
** July 4-7 Independence Day Celebration: Horseshoe, volleyball, and softball tournaments, kids’ games, and 2 nights of Bingo. Tom Patterson’s Vintage Rock returns. The Gettysburg 150th National Civil War Battle Reenactment takes place in nearby Gettysburg. (3-night minimum)
** July 12-14 Bingo Mania: Longaberger basket, Vera Bradley, regular, and candy bar Bingo! Carlisle Chrysler Nationals held at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum)
** July 19-21 Santa Fest! Site decorating contest, roast turkey & ham dinner along with your trimmings, and a hayride with Santa. Al Grout, the Juggler, Magician & Comedian performs after Bingo, the Annual Toy Drive for the U.S Marine Corps’ “Toys for Tots”, and a Meadowbrooke Gourd Craft for all ($). Carlisle Bike Fest held at the Fairgrounds. (2-night minimum, holiday visitor’s fee)
July 26-28 Kick Back & Relax: No scheduled activities. Enjoy the pool, read a book, play a game of shuffleboard or horseshoes, or do nothing at all! Just relax!
 
August
** August 2-4 Retro Weekend: A blast from the past! Make your own tie-dye t-shirt ($), root beer floats and a rock ‘n roll party with Men and Machine, the Two Man 5 Piece Band. Carlisle Truck Nationals at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum)
August 9-11 Hawaiian Luau: Annual pig roast ($) along with your covered dish/dessert. DJ Randy is back with more fun and games at the pool. Best dressed contest, and a kids’ craft. Hawaiian attire welcome.
August 16-18 Western Weekend: Annual chicken BBQ ($) along with your covered dish / dessert lunch. Horseshoes, flashlight treasure hunt, and games. City Slickers Country Kickers – country DJs and line dance instructors return. Yee haw! Western attire is welcome.
** August 23-25 Chocolate Lover’s Weekend: : Chocolate flashlight hunt, candy bar Bingo, chocolate dessert social following Saturday evening Bingo. Corvettes at Carlisle at the fairgrounds. (2-night minimum)
** Aug. 30 - Sept. 2 Labor Day Celebration: Volleyball, softball, and horseshoe tournaments, Bingo, hayrides, and a kids’ kickball game. Marie Levin, “Reba” Impersonator, returns. Sunday worship service with music ministry provided by Randy Simpson. (3-night minimum; holiday visitor’s fee)
 
September
September 6-8 Carlisle Sports & Outdoor Nationals at the Fairgrounds. Inaugural event in 2013. Game calling contest, archery shoot competition, a number of seminars, hunter’s safety course, monster truck rides, a swap meet for new and used hunting and fishing gear, as well as a corral for boats, ATVs & RVs and more!
September 13-15 Salute to Heroes: Armed Forces members, police, firefighters and EMTs stay 2 nights for the price of one PLUS receive a coupon for one free night of camping toward a future 2 night stay. 45th Annual PA RV Camping Show held in nearby Hershey. Visit America’s largest RV and camping show! (September 11-15)
September 20-22 All-Sports Tailgate Party: Decorate your site and wear your apparel in support of your favorite sport or team. Saturday evening potluck, where we’ll provide the wings; you bring covered dish / desserts / beverages.
September 27-29 Fall Harvest: Annual apple cider pressing. Come watch or take a turn cranking the handle. We’ll gather for a potluck supper of chicken corn soup along with your harvest side dishes / desserts / beverages.
 
October
** October 2-6 Fall Carlisle Collector Swap Meet & Corral at the fairgrounds. The 49th Annual National Apple Harvest Festival, held at nearby South Mt. Fairgrounds. Food, entertainment, arts & craft vendors, demonstrations and more. (October 5-6) (2-night minimum)
October 11-13 Columbus Day Weekend: This weekend, all amenities are open (weather permitting), except for the swimming pool. It’s the second weekend of the 49th Annual National Apple Harvest Festival. (October 12-13)
** October 18-20 “Spook”tacular Fun Weekend / Annual Local Food Drive: Family scavenger hunt, site decorating, costume, coloring and pumpkin carving contests, parade followed by treat gathering and haunted house. Cookies, cupcakes, coffee & cider served. For each haunted house ticket given at check-in, we are requesting a donation of non-perishable food items to be donated to “Project Share”. (2-night minimum; holiday visitor’s fee)
